Husband and wife found dead in their Stockton home.

The Salt Lake Tribune

Police found a husband and wife dead in their Stockton home Saturday, and “early indications” are that the woman shot her husband before taking her own life, according to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities have identified the couple as Donald Day, 72, and Joyce Day, 68.

A woman called 911 at about 11:32 p.m. on Saturday and said her husband had been shot. The woman hung up, and attempts to reconnect with her were unsuccessful, according to police. Officers went to the home where the call originated, 2481 W. Cedarline Loop, and found the bodies of Donald and Joyce Day.

The investigation is continuing.
