Bernie Sanders wins hearts in Utah again

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders beat President Joe Biden in Utah’s 2020 primary, and, while he didn’t cinch the nomination, he did steal the limelight on Utah social media after the inauguration.

A photo of the self-proclaimed socialist seated at the inauguration wearing wool mittens and a mask became a viral meme when people started digitally altering images to place him in unlikely locations. The trend caught on in Utah. Sanders was spotted in national parks, on college campuses and even in a Bountiful police car.

One man took the meme offline and back into the real world when he dressed up as Sanders and sat outside Barnes & Noble in Sugarhouse.

Here are some of the best memes of Bernie in the Beehive State.
