Third man dies after accident at mine near Moab

A third man has died after an industrial accident at a mine south of Moab on Saturday.

Arthur Secrest died of his injuries Tuesday, according to the San Juan County Sheriff's office.

Secrest, Russell Helquist and Matthew Johnston were extracting a pump from a pond pit at the mine with a telescoping forklift on Saturday when it came into contact with a powerline. Helquist and Johnston died at the scene; Secrest was flown to the University of Utah Burn Center in Salt Lake City, where he later died.
