Dog shot and killed in owner’s backyard in Eagle Mountain

Police in Eagle Mountain are asking for the public's help to identify the person who shot and killed a dog in the owner's backyard on Sunday.

According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, the dog was shot and killed at a home near Autumn Drive and Elkridge Drive in the North Ranches area of Eagle Mountain sometime between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday. Other dogs in the yard were not harmed.

There was a similar incident near this area earlier this year, but it is unknown if the two incidents are related.
