Police look for Herriman man who is considered to be in danger

Police searched for a man who has been missing since Wednesday morning.

Tanner Oblad, 20, left his house in Herriman on Wednesday at 11 a.m. to go to school at Salt Lake Community College’s Taylorsville campus, according to the Unified Police Department. He did not bring his phone or wallet.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, Oblad is considered to be in danger.

Oblad, a high-functioning autistic man, is 5-foot-11 and weighs 145 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue parka, jeans and black snow boots while leaving his home near 6000 West Intrigue Drive, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Oblad, according to the the UPD, usually takes public transit to school. Anyone with information is asked to call 801-743-7000.
