One in the hospital, one in custody after Layton shooting

A 52-year-old man is in the hospital with injuries after being shot Wednesday afternoon in Layton.

The victim is expected to survive. Layton police have taken a 19-year-old man into custody, confirmed police Lt. Travis Lyman.  

The shooting happened at 3:12 p.m. in a shed behind a fourplex near 1650 N. 1425 West, Lyman said. 

Police are investigating.
