“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” are nearing the end of their first season — and they will return for a second.

The show’s executive producer, Andy Cohen, confirmed the renewal on his Bravo show “Watch What Happens Live” on Wednesday night. His guest, podcaster Danny Pellegrino, said he was “really hoping” that “RHOSLC” would return, and Cohen replied, “Oh, they’re coming back for a Season 2.”

Cohen previously had expressed confidence that there would be more seasons, and Bravo executives are reportedly pleased with the show’s ratings.

The offhand announcement didn’t include any specifics. There’s no word on when production will begin on Season 2, and no confirmation that all six women who headlined Season 1 — Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose and Jen Shah — will be back for Season 2.

There are questions about Cosby’s participation in the show. She’s barely appeared in several episodes — she was in this week’s episode for less than a minute. Because of her ongoing feud with Shah, Cosby refused to accompany the other five women on a trip to Las Vegas, which is the focus of both the most recent and the upcoming episode of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.”

The series airs Wednesdays on Bravo — 8 p.m. on Dish and DirecTV; 11 p.m. on Comcast.
