The FBI is on the lookout for the “Band-Aid Bandit,” who has robbed seven Utah banks in the past eight months — all while wearing bandages on his fingers.

In December, the man began robbing bank branches in grocery stores. He changes his appearance, according to the FBI, wearing different hats, but always with the Band-Aids.

He has presented tellers at each of the branches notes demanding money and threatening them with a weapon, but no weapon has been seen.

The man is described as white; between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall; with a medium build. He’s believed to drive a white or silver Volkswagen SUV. The Band-Aid Bandit is suspected in these robberies:

• Dec. 9 — A Cyprus Credit Union inside the Walmart at 11328 S. Jordan Gateway in South Jordan.

• Jan. 3 — An America First Credit Union inside the Dan’s Foods at 1360 S. Foothill Drive in Salt Lake City.

• Feb. 7 — A U.S. Bank in the Smith’s at 4080 W. 9000 South in West Jordan.

• Feb. 28 — A U.S. Bank inside the Smith’s at 1550 E. 3500 North in Lehi.

• May 5 — A U.S. Bank inside the Smith’s at 1174 W. 600 North in Salt Lake City.

• July 25 — A Goldenwest Credit Union in the Macey’s at 760 E. Main St. in Lehi.

• Aug. 27 — An America First Credit Union inside Bowman’s Market at 326 N. Main St. in Kaysville.

The Band-Aid Bandit should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the FBI. Anyone with any information about him is asked to call the FBI’s Salt Lake field office at 801-579-1400; to contact the closest FBI office or nearest American embassy or consulate; or to submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
