Posted: 5:38 PM- OGDEN -- Northern Arizona quarterback Lance Kriesien passed for 125 yards and rushed for 126 more as the Lumberjacks snapped Weber State's two-game Big Sky Conference win streak Saturday afternoon, 29-20, at Stewart Stadium.
Weber State had an opportunity to tie the game at 22-22 with 9:09 to play, but Wildcat quarterback Cameron Higgins' two-point conversion pass was batted down. WSU also failed to convert a fourth-and-1 at the 2:16 mark at the NAU 49-yard line.
Six plays later, Alex Henderson, who gained 134 yards, broke free on a 41-yard scoring run to ice the game.
NAU (5-3, 4-1 Big Sky) forced Weber State (2-5, 2-3) into four turnovers. WSU back Trevyn Smith rushed for 170 yards, while Wildcat quarterback Cameron Higgins was 9-for-21 for 146 yards and three interceptions.
