The Salt Lake County Clerk's Office still needs alternate poll workers for the June 27 primary election. Alternates will need to attend a three-hour basic training course and a three-hour advanced training course and will be paid $100 even if they are not called to serve. Those who are called to serve will be paid $220. To serve as a poll worker, a person must be a registered voter and reside in Salt Lake County. Interested persons should contact the clerk's office at 468-3477 during business hours Monday through Friday. - Jason Bergreen
