Utahn nominated for D.C. education post

WASHINGTON - President Bush has nominated a Utahn to be the assistant secretary of Education for vocational and adult education.

Troy R. Justesen, who was born in Price and raised in Orangeville, previously served as associate director for the White House Domestic Policy Council and as deputy commissioner for the Rehabilitation Services Administration for Education. Justesen, 37, earned a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling from Utah State University.
