Fourth District Judge Samuel McVey on Tuesday scheduled the trial to begin July 14 and last five days. A pretrial conference was set for June 20.
Henderson, 38, faces five first-degree felony counts of attempted aggravated murder. He is also charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and three counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm, all third-degree felonies.
If convicted of the first-degree felonies, Henderson could face life in prison.
On the morning of Jan. 27, Art Henderson's estranged wife, Natalie Henderson called 911 from her car to report that he was chasing her and her boyfriend, Craig Trimble.
During the pursuit, Art Henderson allegedly fired several rounds at the car through his pickup truck's windshield while traveling through a Lehi neighborhood.
Police and witnesses said he then rammed his wife's car and jumped out of his truck, firing up to 12 rounds with a revolver and nearly hitting his wife in the face. Trimble was hit twice.
As Lehi police officers arrived, Trimble fled the scene of the shooting to a nearby home. Art Henderson grabbed a rifle with a scope from his truck and allegedly shot at the officers, hitting the windshield of Officer Alma Owens's patrol car and grazing the boot of Officer David Boss, police said. One of the bullets narrowly missed a 7-year-old boy in a nearby vehicle.
The officers returned fire and hit Henderson in the knee and foot.
