An amendment to House Bill 133, modifying the Pawnshop Transaction Information Act of 2004, passed the Utah Senate on March 1. The amendment removes language requiring pawn brokers to hold sold items for 30 days. The holding period for pawned items will be determined between the broker and the person pawning the item.
