St. George businessman Kris Lounsbury wants to challenge U.S. Rep. Jim Matheson for his seat.
The building contractor, real estate broker and pastor announced his candidacy for the 2nd Congressional District last week.
So far, one other Republican, Lehi businessman Joe Tucker, has announced his candidacy.
Lounsbury plans to focus his campaign on four issues: limiting access to abortion, national defense, closing the country's borders and eliminating the federal income tax and the IRS.
