LOGAN - Randy Watts is a mountain climber and former ski patrolman, so the first thing he did after being sworn in Tuesday was move the mayor's office to one with a view.
The mayor's office, now on the second floor of the Municipal Building on Main Street, affords Watts a view of the peaks east of Logan. "I had to see this," said Watts, sweeping his hand toward the windows.
Mayor Doug Thompson had used a first-floor office.
Incumbent City Council members Tami Pyfer and Steve ÂThompson also were sworn in Tuesday.
His top priorities, he said during the campaign, were to pump money back into the city's reserves, work on capital improvements such as roads and sewer and begin replacing the vehicle fleet. Watts also pledged to "reclaim inner Logan" neighborhoods that have been deteriorating from lax code enforcement.
