Salt Lake City is poised to honor civil rights icon Rosa Parks by adding "Rosa Parks Boulevard" to 200 East between South Temple and 600 South. On Thursday, the City Council started the process of adding the honorary name. Members will formally approve the change sometime next year. Councilwoman Nancy Saxton noted the location for Rosa Parks Boulevard is meaningful: It's on a main bus route and the road crosses other streets honored for civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr., and Cesar Chavez. - Heather May
