Mayor Rocky Anderson has hired Duncan Moench as his eighth director of communications. He replaces Cliff Lyon, who has been working as the mayor's volunteer spokesman for a little more than a month.
Moench has a master's degree in political science and another in journalism. He said he is still negotiating his salary. The job was advertised to pay between $63,000 and $70,000.
