Governor appoints new judge

The governor has appointed Garfield County Attorney Wallace A. Lee to the 6th District Court, which covers Garfield, Kane, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier and Wayne Counties. The State Senate Judicial Confirmation Committee is seeking public comment on the appointment. Lee must be confirmed into office by a vote of the full Senate. Anyone who would like to comment on Lee should contact Jerry D. Howe at the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, Utah State Capitol Complex, W210 House Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84114-5210, by 5 p.m. on September 16. Written statements should include the presenter's name, telephone number, and mailing address. Lee would replace retiring judge K.L. McIff. - Elizabeth Neff
