Police on Sunday found a motor home that disappeared during the filming of a hit TV reality show in Bountiful. The thieves left the RV in need of an extreme bumper makeover, but the vehicle was otherwise in good condition. The producers of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" borrowed the 39-foot-long 2000 Fleetwood Bound 39-Z motor home while they rebuilt a home in Bountiful earlier this month. It was last seen Aug. 8 driving away from a nearby LDS church parking lot. Bountiful police Cpl. Carl Krall said police found the RV about 10:20 p.m. Sunday in the driveway of a vacant home on Ridge Hill Drive. The RV had damage to its rear bumper and two rear storage compartments, presumably a result of trying to move the vehicle in and out of the home's driveway. Rob Terry, the director of sales and marketing for Ardell Brown RV in Sandy, which owns the RV, estimated the damage at $3,000 and said the show or its insurance company will pay the cost. Krall said police are still investigating the incident. "I'm sure it's got to be someone from the neighborhood," Krall said. "Who else would know a home up there was vacant?" - Nate Carlisle
