Mike Jerman is the new chairman of Parents for Choice in Education and its political action committee, Parents for Choice in Education PAC. The organizations promote tuition tax credits, special-education vouchers, charter schools and other programs aimed at giving parents alternatives to traditional public schools. Jerman is the vice president of the Utah Taxpayers Association. He long has advocated for tuition tax credits. "Parental choice is essential to ensuring that every Utah child has a quality education, and now is the time to make it a reality," Jerman said in a news release Thursday.
