After stepping down from the post about a month ago, Marco Diaz is once again the chairman of the Utah Republican Hispanic Assembly, the group has announced. The assembly's six-member executive committee unanimously elected Diaz as the group's leader at a meeting earlier this month, Miguel Rovira, the group's first vice-chairman, said Thursday. Diaz, a special assistant in the office of Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah, will serve a two-year term, Rovira said. The assembly is made up of about 25 members. - Jennifer W. Sanchez
