The fourth version of a bill targeting Intermountain Health Care will not be the last.

Sen. Michael Waddoups, R-Taylorsville, said he is working on additional amendments to Senate Bill 61, which in earlier versions created a new tax on IHC, forced IHC to sell its insurance arm and created a task force to examine the divesture of the insurance business.

Another idea that has been floated is removing IHC's tax-exempt status.

Waddoups refused to divulge the details until he was able to show the new changes to lobbyists working for the health-care giant.

IHC has been criticized for its billing practices and has responded with an aggressive media campaign.
