You must be a lawmaker to use official legislative stationery.

The Legislature modified its rules Thursday to ensure that its official seal and stationery can only be used by those currently elected. The move comes after a former lawmaker called legislative staff this summer to request more stationery because he had run out.

"It's amazing, but it's a true story," said sponsor Sen. Michael Waddoups, R-Taylorsville, declining to name the ex-lawmaker in question.
