In keeping with Utah sports style, call it the Executivezz versus the Legislatorzz. A state lawmaker is organizing a basketball game between the state government's executive and legislative branches, starring Gov. Olene Walker, Attorney General Mark Shurtleff and several legislators. "We're hoping to trade some sharp elbows before the [General] Session," joked Rep. Ty McCartney, D-Salt Lake City, who is putting the event together for 6:30 p.m. Monday at the University of Utah's Huntsman Special Events Center. Walker will suit up. "She's gonna come and shoot some baskets," according to McCartney. Gov.-elect Jon Huntsman Jr. probably won't make an appearance, says his chief of staff, Jason Chaffetz. "We were going to play, but we'd hate to shame them right before the session." - Thomas Burr
