Public comment for court records

The public can now comment on a proposal for future access to court records. The Utah Judicial Council will accept comments on the draft rules for at least 45 days before taking a final vote on them. The Committee on Privacy and Public Court Records, which put together the new rules, recommended new protections when it comes to personal identifiers such as Social Security numbers or financial information.
