As expected, Mark Walker inherited fellow Republican Morgan Philpot's seat on the Utah House of Representatives. Walker, a lumber supply salesman, is the GOP candidate for Philpot's House District 45. Philpot resigned last month after picking up his family and moving from Midvale to Ann Arbor, Mich., where he is enrolled in law school. Walker was appointed to the post by Gov. Olene Walker.
