Whatever Sean Hannity's travel quirks are, they won't keep him from his appearance Monday at Utah Valley State College. A spokesman for Fox News said Thursday that the conservative talk show host is set to come to the sold-out engagement in Orem and that a recent travel snafu that caused him to cancel a similar appearance to counter "Fahrenheit 9/11" filmmaker Michael Moore at Washington University in St. Louis has not altered his plans. "He's got a flight and he's all set to come to Utah," said Fox News' Rob Zimmerman, who could not elaborate on what Hannity's travel plans to Utah might be. Hannity has agreed to waive his $100,000 speaking fee to appear at UVSC as long as his travel expenses are covered. Utah Republican gubernatorial candidate Jon Huntsman Jr.'s campaign has offered up to $10,000 to help pay that tab. Moore will get $40,000 for his sold-out appearance at UVSC on Oct. 20. Another $10,000-plus will pay for security and travel. To get to Utah, Hannity will use a private jet so he can make it to Tuesday's presidential debate in Arizona. Earlier this week, Washington U.'s Student Life newspaper reported that Hannity had canceled today's anti-Moore speech because the school couldn't arrange for him to fly to St. Louis "in style." Hannity told the New York Daily News that his request to fly on Hawker aircraft rather than a Learjet stems from a 2003 plane crash involving a particular Learjet on which he had frequently flown. "I had been scheduled to fly on that very plane two days later," Hannity told Daily News columnist Lloyd Grove. "After that, I promised my wife, Jill, I would never fly on a private jet without first thoroughly checking out the equipment and the pilots. I don't want my two young children to be fatherless. I really prefer to fly commercial anyway." - Lori Buttars
