Add freedom to receive health care to Rocky Anderson's list of wants. The Salt Lake City mayor, who recently created a list of seven freedoms he says are important to the community, has created one more and scheduled a series of freedom forums to talk about them all.
The forums will be in the Main Library auditorium. Most will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Check the library for the times.
The first, on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., will address how to be safe from gun violence. Gun-rights advocates, gun-control advocates and victims and perpetrators of gun violence will participate.
The discussion will be moderated by a reporter from KCPW radio. Others scheduled are:
* Dec. 12: The inability of unmarried partners - heterosexual and homosexual - to adopt.
* Jan. 27: Family planning and reproductive health.
* Feb. 24: Living wages.
* March 24: State liquor laws.
* April 28: Clean air.
* May 26: Access to health care.
