Police are looking for three men in two separate robberies that occurred early Saturday in West Valley City. One involved a kidnapping.

The kidnapping happened about 4:30 a.m., when a 19-year-old man went to a Maverik store at 4692 S. 4800 West to meet a friend, police Lt. Bill Merritt said. When he got out of his car, two men walked up to him and asked if he had any drugs. The area is frequently used for drug dealing, Merritt said.

When he told them he didn't have any, one of the two men punched him in the face and forced him back into the car, he told police. Telling him to close his eyes, the two took his money and drove into the Salt Lake City area. They punched him again when he opened his eyes and used his money to buy drugs, Merritt said. The two headed back to West Valley City and dumped the 19-year-old in the street near 4800 West and 3500 South about an hour after kidnapping him. He walked to a friend's house nearby and called police.

The man was injured but refused medical attention. Police have listed his silver 2000 Ford Mustang as stolen.

In the other robbery, a man walked up to two workers and a manager leaving an Arctic Circle restaurant at 4073 W. 4100 South after the pair closed the restaurant up for the night. Brandishing what appeared to be a knife, the robber demanded money. The manager dropped the night deposit bag she was holding and he took it. He's described as about 5 feet, 8-inches tall with a thin build,
