In addition to the great scenery, shopping and wildlife activities, summer visitors to Jackson, Wyo., shouldn't have any trouble finding things to do in the coming year.
The Center for the Arts in downtown Jackson has announced its 2009-10 Center Presents lineup, with events that cover a range of interests and prices. The lineup includes folk music, dance, a hootenanny, big band swing music, jazz, Frank Sinatra, Jr., ballet, marionettes, a comedy play based on the books of Pat McManus, acrobats, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Hal Holbrook in "Mark Twain Tonight" and classic rock.

Another activity beginning on May 23rd gives Jackson area visitors a chance to ride Jackson Mountain Resort's new $32 million Aerial Tram, which climbs 4,139 vertical feet in nine minutes to the summit of 10,450-foot Rendezvous Mountain. The tram provides visitors with aerial views of Grand Teton National Park and surrounding peaks. Corbets Cabin will be open all summer with snacks and beverages.
Tram tickets from May 23 to June 19 and Sept. 7-27 are $19, $15 seniors, $14 young adults, and $10 juniors. They increase to $24, $19, $18 and $12, respectively, during the peak season from June 20 through Sept. 6.
Other summer and late spring events in Jackson this year include the Elk Fest (May 17-18); Old West Days (May 22-25); Jackson Hole Rodeo (May--September); Jackson Hole Wine Auction (June 27-28); a July 4th "Music in the Hole" concert featuring the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra; and "Taming the Tetons" mountain bike race (July 25th).
