Utah beginning winter tourism campaign

Posted: 10:05 AM- The state Office of Tourism is beginning its winter travel campaign, capitalizing on Utah's trademark slogan, "The Greatest Snow on Earth."

The campaign will include national cable television advertisements, including some on the Bravo, TLC, History, MSNBC and National Geographic channels, with targeted placement in the Los Angeles market.

The 30-second ads are lighthearted, featuring people dressed as snowflakes auditioning for a selective snow judge. Only the premium snowflakes are chosen to be Utah powder.

The campaign, designed by Salt Lake City-based Struck, will also include videos and interactive elements on the state tourism and ski Web sites and on YouTube.
