TURIN, Italy - The U.S. men's curling team improved to 2-1 with a 10-4 victory over New Zealand on Tuesday.
The Americans jumped out to a 7-2 lead after six ends. New Zealand got back on the scoreboard with another deuce in the seventh but couldn't keep the Americans off the scoreboard as Pete Fenson chipped out New Zealand's count rock with his last stone to lay three, prompting New Zealand to offer the handshake to end the game.
The Americans return to action on Wednesday, facing host Italy at the Pinerolo Palaghiaccio venue.
