A 39-year-old Layton man is in critical condition after getting crushed inside a machine used for laying concrete Friday afternoon.
The accident happened at a construction zone on Interstate 15 just south of State Road 91 near Brigham City. The man was working under the machine about 2:30 p.m., a Utah Highway Patrol news release said. It is not clear how he got inside the machine, but he was trapped and pinned as the device crushed against him.
He was flown to Mckay Dee hospital, the release said, and is in critical condition.
