Ogden police have issued a fugitive warrant in connection with a gang-related shooting last week, according to a news release.

Police believe 19-year-old Patrick Galindo Jr. was involved with a shooting three days after he was released from the Weber County Jail. Detectives were investigating the incident in which a 26-year-old was shot multiple times Saturday at 1:30 a.m. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating Galindo, who they say is a documented gang member and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The incident was gang related, police say, though the victim had no gang affiliation.

Galindo has warrants for his arrest, police say, for discharging firearms despite his restricted status, failure to stop or respond to a police officers, reckless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Galindo is described as a man with black hair and brown eyes who is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Travis Gerfen at 801-629-8477 or at detectives@ogdencity.com.
