Utah Highway Patrol troopers and paramedics rushed to the scene of a multi-injury rollover crash on Interstate 80 near Grantsville on Friday morning.

UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said the accident, to which at least two medical helicopters were dispatched, occurred on westbound I-80 at mile post 85 about 8:15 a.m.

Emergency workers closed the left westbound lane while wreckage was cleared the troopers investigated the cause of the crash. Traffic resumed to normal at 9:20 a.m.

Royce said both occupants of the car, which had California plates, were in serious condition.
