A woman died Wednesday after getting caught in a Sandy bakery's industrial mixer.

Carmen "Jackie" Lindhardt, 45, was operating the mixer in the bakery of the Ream's Food Stores, located at 8725 S. Highland Drive, said Sandy Police Sgt. Dean Carriger. But at about 10 a.m., "she got caught up in the machinery, the augers," possibly because a piece of clothing got caught, Carriger said.

Lindhardt was pronounced dead at the scene. She lived in Murray.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate Lindhardt's death.
