Police have identified a 20-year-old man who was found shot to death Monday in a Sandy home.

The body of Marco Antonio Ibanez was found about 3:15 p.m. Monday by a landlord who went to 1365 E. 8085 South to collect rent, police have said.

Investigators don't know whether Ibanez lived at the house or was visiting.

"Detectives are working to identify and interview individuals that have been renting, living at, and visiting the home," Sandy police Sgt. Dean Carriger wrote Tuesday in a news release.

Apart from traffic tickets, Ibanez appears to have no criminal history in Utah, according to court records.

Anyone with information may call the Sandy Police Tip-Line at 801-568-INFO (4636).
