Streaking Southern Utah cracked the FCS Top 25 last week. This week, the Thunderbirds continue to move up.

Following its sixth straight win on Saturday, SUU has moved up to No. 18 in the FCS coaches' poll, released Monday.

The T-Birds were tied for 24th last week.

Southern Utah is coming off of a 54–37 victory over Cal Poly, a game in which the Thunderbirds' defense scored three touchdowns. SUU improved to 5–0 in the Big Sky Conference with the win.

SUU is close to matching its ranking from 2011, when it was named the No. 17 team in the country following a victory against UNLV.

The Thunderbirds will take on Montana State on Saturday in Bozeman, Montana. That game is set to kick off at 1:40 p.m. and will be televised on ROOT Sports.
