A man was in very critical condition after his truck, hauling a load of tires, went off the inside lane of Interstate 15 and rolled into the median late Tuesday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the victim, a 28-year-old North Ogden man, whose identity was not immediately released, was ejected as the truck rolled just before 10 a.m. on northbound I-15 at mile post 354, about midway between Ogden and Brigham City.

Royce said the victim was flown by medical helicopter to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

No other vehicles were involved.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.

UHP said northbound traffic through the accident scene was restricted to a single lane for about 90 minutes while troopers investigated and debris was cleared.
