Police on Friday apprehended a man suspected to have robbed at least six Salt Lake County businesses this month.

The man was arrested in Midvale on Friday evening after robbing a Burger King, according to the Unified Police Department.

UPD had earlier asked the public to look for the man, who police believe had first robbed two businesses on Jan. 9: Millcreek's Namaste Groceries, at 741 E. 3300 South, and the Arctic Circle at 4796 S. Redwood Road in Taylorsville.

The man allegedly then robbed two businesses in the same Taylorsville strip mall, on the 4100 South block of Redwood Road, in the space of two days. The first was India Foods on Jan. 12, then John's Market on Jan. 13, according to a Unified Police news release.

And on Jan. 20, police say, the suspect robbed Taco Time at 4631 S. Redwood Road, then Ganesh Indian Cuisine at 777 E. Fort Union Blvd. in Midvale.

Friday night, detectives were watching several locations they believed might next be targeted by their suspect. At about 9 p.m., according to a release, detectives saw a man matching the suspect's description enter a Burger King on Fort Union Boulevard and use a knife to rob the restaurant, as had been the case in the previous robberies. He was arrested as he exited.

Detectives are working with the Salt Lake City Police Department, as it is believed that the man "committed multiple robberies in Salt Lake City as well."
