A Kearns man suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed multiple times in a fight with his roommate, police said.

The victim, 34, was arguing with his roommate over "some previous disagreements" at their home about 10 p.m. near 5100 South and 4900 West, said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. At some point the fight became physical and the roommate, 22, grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim, Hoyal said.

The victim was in serious condition and was taken to a hospital. The roommate stayed at the home and was cooperative with police, Hoyal said. He was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder and other charges.
