Food Network taping shows in Utah
The Food Network has spent the last five days in Utah taping episodes for "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives." The film crew, along with host Guy Fieri, visited Ruth's Diner, Burger Bar, Moochie's Meatballs and More, Lone Star Taqueria, Blue Plate Diner and Red Iguana. Today they will complete filming at Pat's Barbecue. The episodes should air in the summer.
Refuel at Baxter's during 'Cure' race
Runners and spectators participating in Saturday's "Race for the Cure" can refuel at Baxter's American Restaurant, 13 N. 400 West (Gateway Mall), Salt Lake City, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Utah Cancer Foundation. The weekend brunch menu includes steak and eggs, apple cinnamon waffles, biscuits and gravy, ranchero eggs with sweet corn and black beans and an international tour of eggs Benedict; among the seven kinds are Swedish Benedict with smoked salmon and Frenchman's Benedict with ratatouille and goat cheese. Tucanos at Gateway
Tucanos Brazilian Grill has opened a second Utah location in The Gateway. The restaurant specializes in churrasco (shoe-HAS-ko), seasoned meats and vegetables that have been skewered and grilled. Dream Dinners closes at Brickyard Plaza
The Dream Dinners meal-preparation store in Salt Lake City's Brickyard Plaza closed last week. The national franchise still has locations in Sandy, Kaysville, Orem, North Logan and St. George.
