Dining news & notes: Indulge in Italian culture

Eat Italian food, play bocce, enjoy Italian films and cars or enter a sausage-eating contest Aug. 16 during the annual Ferragosto, Italian cultural street festival.

Eatery opens second location

Cafe Sabor's, a popular Mexican eatery in Logan, has opened a second location at 3126 Quarry Road, Park City. (exit 141, Jeremy Ranch). The restaurant has the same menu of fajitas, burritos, chimichangas, pasta and quesadillas. It also offers to-go service. Every Wednesday after 4 p.m. a draft beer and a burrito is just $6.50. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday noon to 8 p.m. For more information, call 435-649-8166.

Get your BBQ fix for dinner

Pulled pork and baked beans are easier to come by, now that Pat's Barbecue & Catering Co. has expanded its hours. The restaurant at 155 W. Commonwealth Ave. (2125 South), South Salt Lake is open Monday to Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Saturday, noon to 10 p.m. Call 801-484-5963 for more information.
