Hidden Hawaii

14th Edition

By Ray Riegert,

558 page paperback,

$19.95, Ulysses Press

For a book to be printed 14 times, it must be useful. The new book has been redesigned to include more color photographs, two-color layout on the interior design and mini-maps for each section that highlight a region's hidden gems. In addition to basic information and history, chapters cover Oahu, the Big Island, Maui, Lanai, Molokai and Kauai. As most good travel guides do, this one provides just the basics of things to see, places to stay, outdoor adventures, a calendar of events, history, geology and where to eat. It's a good resource providing easy-to-find basic information.
