Houston native Ivory Young scored a season-high 20 points in his hometown to lead Utah Valley to an 85-79 win over Rice in the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational on Monday night at Tudor Fieldhouse.

Utah Valley (17-16) will visit Wyoming on Wednesday (time TBA) for a semifinal.

Kenneth Ogbe scored 17 points for the Wolverines, while Jordan Poydras had 14, and Conner Toolson added 13.

• Weber State's season ended with an 82-73 loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the second round of the CIT Postseason Tournament.

Weber State was led by senior Jeremy Senglin, who finished with 27 points in his 124th and final career game with the Wildcats. He ends his WSU career as Weber State's all-time leader with 2,078 career points, which is second in Big Sky history.

Jerrick Harding added 18 points for the Wildcats, and Ryan Richardson had 15.
