Weber State will open its 2015 football schedule on Friday, Sept. 4 at Oregon State, the school announced Wednesday.

The game will be the first for new Beaver coach Gary Anderson, the former University of Utah defensive coordinator and head coach at Utah State and Wisconsin. Weber coach Jay Hill is also a former assistant at Utah. He is in his second year with the Wildcats.

Kickoff for the Weber-Oregon State game is 6 p.m. MDT at Reser Stadium in Corvallis.

Along with Oregon State, the Wildcats will play four-time defending FCS champion North Dakota State in Fargo on Sept. 12.

Weber State's home opener is Sept. 17 against Sacramento State, although the game will not count in the Big Sky Conference standings.

The Wildcats' league opener is Sept. 26 at Northern Colorado. Their other three Big Sky road opponents include Montana (Oct. 10), Northern Arizona (Oct. 24) and Eastern Washington (Oct. 31).

Weber State's conference home games include Southern Utah (Oct. 2), North Dakota (Oct. 17), UC Davis (Nov. 7) and Idaho State (Nov. 21).

"We are excited for the schedule we have in place this year," Hill said. "The chance to play Oregon State and North Dakota State in the preseason will be great tests for our team. Then we have a another really competitive Big Sky schedule. We can't wait to get started."

Weber State opens spring practice March 24. It concludes with the annual spring game on April 25.
