Utah women rout Incarnate Word in Friday matinee

Emily Potter almost outscored Incarnate Word by herself, finishing with 21 points and seven rebounds as the Utes routed the Cardinals 90-31 on Friday afternoon, improving to 4-1 on the season.

Potter added a season-high four blocks to her stat line. Daneesha Provo added 19 points and Kiana Moore scored 14 points, both career-highs.

Utah shot 59 percent from the floor while holding the Cardinals to 18 percent shooting. The score was 14-4 after the first quarter in favor of the Utes, who extended the lead to 41-12 at halftime.

Utah’s next game is at 6 p.m. Monday at home against UT Arlington.
