Logan • Utah State men's basketball coach Tim Duryea announced a shuffling of his staff on Tuesday.

Duryea has named Tarvish Felton as the associated head coach. Long-time Aggie assistant Chris Jones will move into the recruiting coordinator's position.

In addition, Kyle Taylor has been hired as the video coordinator and director of player development.

"All of our assistants are well-rounded as basketball coaches and are responsible for multiple facets of the program," Duryea said. "From academics to player development to recruiting, to opponent scouting, [they] all have to be well-rounded to coach in this program."

Regarding the promotion of Felton, Duryea said, "[He] aspires to be a Division-I head coach in the future. He has tremendous leadership skills and relates well to players, fans and administrators in a way that would allow him to be excellent in that role."

Taylor joins the Utah State staff from Covenant College, a Division III school in Lookout Mountain, Ga., where he served as athletic director and head coach.

Taylor led to Scots to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in history last season. He guided them to an 18-10 record, the best winning percentage in program history.
