Logan • Senior Hailey Froton and junior Noelle Johnson have been named to the All-Mountain West Conference softball team, the league announced Tuesday.

Froton is an outfielder-first baseman from Temecula, Calif., who hit .361 during the season. She also drove in 48 runs, finishing her career as Utah State's all-time leader.

Johnson is a pitcher-designated player from Santee, Calif., who hit .340. Her record as a pitcher was 16-16. She ranked third in the Mountain West in strikeouts with 131 in 206 1⁄3 innings. She was 10th in earned run average (4.04).
