Utah State fans can get a good look at the future of USU football — both on the field and off — when the Aggies host their Blue-White game on Saturday at Romney Stadium.

The game kicks off at 2 p.m. and will be streamed live at http://www.UtahStateAggies.tv.

During halftime, Maverik will be announced as the new sponsor for the stadium. USU officials will also announce more details about the planned renovations for the stadium.

Maverik, a gas station/convenience store which goes by the slogan "Adventure's First Stop," is also sponsoring the fan tailgate party that starts at noon in the stadium's west parking lot. Free food and music will be available.

As for the game itself, the first half will consist of two 10-minute running quarters while the second half will consist of two 15-minute running quarters.

The game will serve as a crucial evaluation for up-and-coming players, particularly since some proven players, such as linebacker Nick Vigil, won't participate in live action.

Positions such as the linebackers, running backs and kickers have all faced a lot of scrutiny this spring. Overall USU coach Matt Wells has been pleased with the development.

"Performances by individuals in the spring game will go a long way in defining roles as we head into summer," he said. "I want to see good performances in a game-like station by a lot of individuals and certain groups, along with clean execution."
